Not quite the diy pizza that I'm looking for...

Ever since I have tried the wonderful restaurant that prepares and serve 'D.I.Y' pizza overseas, I was trying very hard looking for similar alternatives in Singapore...

'Alt. Wings'
This do create small sparks in my mouth. However, it still has a long way to go if they
are thinking of outdoing the 'Buffalo Wing' that gives one a spicy sensation.

'Dangerous Diego'
I wanted to give the 'D.I.Y' pizza over here a try, but seriously the price that one
would be paying for a customized pizza over here is simply far too ridiculous. I was
calculating it myself. If I choose the ingredients I want, I could easily break the
S$30 mark.

But in the end, after giving it some thought, I decided to give one of the creations
over here a try. Covered with lots of reds, this pizza isn't that bad after all. For
a start, the pizza over here doesn't comes with the super thick crust, which is a
big (+). And depending on the nature of the ingredients, they might be throwing in a
generous or a moderate portion of it into the pizza. Last but not least, though the
size of the pizza ain't that big in size, but the nice sweet taste of the cheese is
pretty good. Even though the pizza isn't as spicy as the 'Wings' but the chewy touch
is definitely there. :P

So where can you give the pizza a good try?
The name of this restaurant would be 'alt. pizza'.

Close to a year has passed and this still remains to be the biggest in Singapore...

Speaking of 'Pizzas', rather than winding up their business due to the strong and strict competition, it seems that there are more and more new places/restaurants offering good 'Pizzas'. However...

despite of the number of new competitors, this still remains to be the biggest.
A 21' Pizza (Half 'Pancetta' and Half 'Suprema'). Try beating that. :P
Anyway it's time for the best part of this post. It's time to eat and savour it.
On one end, we have the 'Suprema' flavour. This flavour still remains to be pretty
delicious and filling. There's a good mix of 'Sausages', 'Shitake Mushroom', 'Onion'
and minimum amount of 'Red Chilli'. Not only it's slightly a bit fiery, the
ingredients are chewy and the 'Onions' have added a crunchy touch to each individual
slice of the 'Suprema' flavour 'Pizza'.

And on the other end, we have the 'Pancetta' flavour. The chef have completely
covered this other side of the 'Pizza' with 'Tomatoes', 'Bacon' and a 'Soft Egg'. So
what's a 'Soft Egg'? It has the appearance of a 'Sunshine Egg', but the 'Egg Yolk' is
half cooked. While tearing a slice of 'Pizza' from this end, one has to be extra
careful. If you are not careful enough, you might be spilling out the juicy 'Egg Yolk'
unintentionally. Taste wise, I still prefer the 'Suprema' flavour since the meaty
ingredients are far more visible and juicy. However, the idea of adding 'Soft Egg' to
a 'Pizza' can be pretty interesting though. :P.
(Anyway I wonder if it's due to the fact that my first encounter with the 'Pizza' were
late at night at around 9+, therefore the chefs were giving and adding much more
ingredients to the 'Pizza' as compared to my 2nd encounter. Hmm.... I wonder...)

So where can you give the biggest 'Pizza' in Singapore a try?
The name of this restaurant would be 'Peperoni Pizzeria'.
This seems to be the first branch that was opened in Singapore back then and it's
located along 'Greenwood Avenue'.

Family Restaurant

I was thinking of going to 'Liang Court' for some Japanese food, but I was passing by 'Central Shopping Mall' and I recalled that there was this new 'Western Food Restaurant' in the basement. Therefore...

'Choco Almond Dessert Pizza'
This is the first time I'm trying a Pizza covered with Chocolate,
Almonds, Peanut Butter and Marshmallow. The strong Chocolate aroma
smell reminds me of the Chocolate factory at Jurong Area. The aroma
is simply too overpowering. The friendly waitress was asking if the
pizza should be served before or after my main course since it was
suppose to be a dessert. I should have listen to her advice.
Although it's a 7' pizza, however the amount of ingredients that was
sprinkled on top of the pizza were too thick. After spending around
15~20 minutes gobbling down the whole pizza, I was full, too full.
The thick peanut butter paste + Chocolate combination were crazily
filling, sweet and tasty. It's so filling that to some extent, I
almost had difficulty finishing everything.

'Chicken Ball Panini Set Meal'
The set meal comes with a basket of 'Fries' and a burger-alike
'Panini'. It's pretty much similar to a burger, but the bread
used to wrap all the meat together are slightly a bit different.
Although you can request for 'Tartar sauce' and 'Chilli sauce',
however the taste of the 'Fries' are too salty and even with
the help of the 'Tartar sauce', it couldn't help much. ==""

'Chicken Ball Panini'
Though the texture of the 'Panini' is pretty unique, however the
burger is slightly a bit too meaty. Besides for the meaty issue,
I think that the meat are slightly a bit too dry. It would taste
even much more better if they can add a bit of sauce and a bit more
vegetables in between the 'bread'. However when I tried to compare
it to the 'Choco Almond Dessert Pizza', I think that the 'Choco
Almond Dessert Pizza' would be a much wiser choice. :P

So where can you try all the yummy stuff that I have listed in this post.

The name of this restaurant would be 'Vivo - American Pizza & Panini'.
It's located on basement 1 of 'Central Shopping Mall'.

Is this the biggest Pizza in SG?

I was browsing through Facebook the other day and I have seen photos of an amazingly big pizza, which is even much more bigger than a normal large pizza from any one of the local pizza hut. Looking at the surface area, it's probably even much more bigger than 2 14' large pizza. Thus the search of the pizza restaurant has began...

After spending numerous hours searching and browsing through local Pizza sites, I think I finally found it...

21' Family Pizza - Choice of flavours (Diavola & Suprema)
Woot, before jumping to the taste part, let's spend a bit of time thinking
what makes this special and good. XD First of all, rather than giving you
a flavour, if you are ordering the 'Family Pizza', you get to choose 2
different flavours to go with it. Wootz. In other words, you can finish
trying all the flavours by ordering 8 different 'Family Pizza'. Secondly,
the pizza comes with a thin layer of crust. I hate it when some of the
local pizza huts are making pizza that has a thick layer of crust. Yes,
I do agree that it makes you very full, but on the other end, it's like
eating bread more than anything else. Last but not least, there's isn't
hidden cost like G.S.T and service charge. Basically all the prices that
you are paying are as per the menu. I hate it where there's hidden cost
here and there. Image a meal that ought to be paying S$50 will ended up
paying S$60 or more... ==""

Here comes the main topic. Food tasting. XD Taste wise, the taste of the
pizza is pretty good. As for the 'Diavola' flavour, I think that it's
simply too meaty. Though the pork slices are pretty oily and juicy but
one can get pretty sick of the taste after the 2nd or 3rd slice. In fact
if this is a normal large pizza and it's covered with juicy pork slices,
I doubt I can finished it. Luckily we get to choose a completely different
flavour else I think the both of us will be struggling to finish this
'Family Pizza'. =="" As for the 'Suprema' side of the pizza, the Chicken
Sausage are pretty juicy too. As you eat it with the Shitake Mushrooms,
Onions and Red chilli, the taste gets even much better and spicier. As
for the 'Suprema' flavour, since it comes with quite a variety of toppings,
we could simply go on and on without any difficulty. As mentioned earlier,
since the pizza comes with a thin layer of crust, it makes it much more
easier for the both of us to finish the whole thing and at the same time,
you get to savour the toppings more than the dough. :D

So where can you try the "21' Family Pizza"?

The name of this restaurant would be 'Peperoni Pizzeria'.
They have a few branches island wide.
