Though it's known as Rojak, but it works like Satay...

To some extent, this is pretty much a good mixture of both Rojak and Satay. Why do I say so? Well, just by taking a look at the following photo should pretty much explains everything. :)

'Indian Rojak'
Over here, you get to choose your own ingredients and once you are ready,
you will have to pass it over to the uncle standing behind the stall.
While waiting for the food, I was taking a second look at all the different
types of ingredients that they have over here. In fact, most of them look
pretty much the same to me and it's the shape that actually varies and I'm
pretty amazed with the fact that the Uncle can memorise all of them. =.=""

After waiting for a few minutes, I finally found myself sitting in front of
a plate of 'Indian Rojak'. I started poking the ingredients one by one and
dipped it into the nice and warm sauce. Woooo.... Yummy. Although the sauce
is a bit reddish and orangish, but it's not spicy at all. In fact, it's a
nice blend of peanut and several other spices(?). Not only the sauce isn't
too thick, the taste is sweet and the texture is pretty chunky too. Though
some of the ingredients are pretty ordinary, but the sauce itself can boost
the taste of it to a whole new level. :D

To some, eating 'Indian Rojak' would be a very sinful thing to do. This is
mainly due to the fact that the process of preparing the food undergo a lot
of frying, which means a lot of oily and fatty stuff. :P But there are
reason why I love it. First of all, some of the ingredients are crispy
outside and irresistibly crunchy inside. For example, the Potatoes. On
top of some common ingredients that I'm pretty familiar with, I have also
chosen some other ingredients that I have difficulty identifying them.
Therefore it ended up to be an interesting guessing game to me too. Last
but not least, the free cucumbers and green chillies. :P Yeah, I knew that
I'm a cheapo, but not only I like freebies (who doesn't?), I also like the
taste of these vegetables too. :D

So where can you give this a try?
The name of this stall would be 'Adam's Indian Rojak'.
It's located inside 'Adam Road Food Centre'.

Nice Chicken Stock

I used to be a big fan of 'Mee Rebus' back then. It's until the recent years that I gradually give the other types of 'Malay Noodles' a try. Therefore...

'Mee Soto'
Not only the thick broth comes with a very thick and strong chicken taste, on
top of that it have this nice sweet and spicy taste too. In fact, the sensation
that I'm getting from this soup doesn't lose to 'Assam Laksa'. Despite being a
very small bowl of 'Noodles', the taste of this dish is fantastic. For a start,
ingredients like 'Fried Spring Onions', 'Shredded Chicken', 'Beansprouts' and
of course, the yellowed-colour 'Noodles' have been added into this small little
bowl of 'Noodles'. I loved the taste of this dish, especially when there's a
nice mixture of chewy noodles, crunchy beansprouts and the yummy shredded
chicken. In fact, I managed to finish up all the tasty ingredients within
minutes and it's the hot and tasty soup that have prolong the overall eating
process. :D (It seems that the 'Mee Rebus' over here are pretty good too. I
should give it a try sooner or later too.)

So where can you give this delicious bowl of 'Noodles' a try?
The name of this stall would be 'Selamat Datang'.
It's located inside 'Adam Road Food Centre'.

The Gambling Den @ Adam Road...

I have to admit that I love to gamble. But I'm not a 'heavy Gambler'. In fact, what I'm going to introduce today have something to do with eating, but how does the term 'Gambling Den' got to do with it?

Over here, most of the set meal were given a name that have something to do with
'Poker'. There's 'Full House', 'Royal Flush', etc... Since all the 'Fried Fish'
were sold out, therefore I ended up placing an order for the 'Full House' set meal
that comes with 'Chicken Wing', 'Otah', 'Fried Egg', 'Ikan Bilis', 'Sambal Chilli',
a few slices of cucumber and 'Basmati Rice'.

'Full House' set meal
For a start, this set meal really comes with a lot of ingredients and as compared to
the portion of rice that was given, the portion of rice looks kinda small. And though
I think it's a bit too much, but I would prefer to have 'Peanuts' more than the
crispy 'Ikan Bilis'. It will be great if they can add a bit of crunchy 'peanuts' to
the set meal. :P Anyway, the taste of the 'Sambal Chilli' isn't spicy enough for me.
:P (Symptoms of overdose of spicy food.) And out of all the ingredients that were
given, I personally find the 'Chicken Wing' to be the most delicious one.

The 'Chicken Wing' isn't covered in a thick layer of oil, in fact, I don't find it
too oily at all. The texture of the 'Chicken Wing' is pretty crispy, the meat is
succulent and best of all, the taste of the 'Chicken Wing' is fantastically heavenly.
By the way, the nicest part about the 'Chicken Wing' over here would be the fact that
just by using a pair of fork and spoon, I can easily strip it down to the bones,
which is a big (+) to lazy eaters like me. :P

So where can you give the (Poker)'Nasi Lemak' a try?
The name of this stall would be 'Selera Rasa Nasi Lemak'.
It's located inside 'Adam Road Food Centre'.

It's infamous, but...

it's not as good as what how I have pictured it. I have heard and seen numerous stories/feedbacks indicating how good the 'Prawn Noodles' over here are, but...

'Prawn Kway Teow'(Dry)
There's a reason why I have always gone for the dry version of 'Noodles'. This
is mainly due to the fact that only by ordering the dry version of the 'Noodles'
then you can savour the original taste of the 'Soup'. Take note, sometimes it's the
soup that gives the overall dining experience an excellent one.

As for the soup that they have prepared over here, it comes with a strong concentrated
taste of 'Prawns' and 'Pork'. Hence it's very tasty and sweet. And the fresh prawns and
the slices of lean meat are pretty good, as compared to the dull bowl of 'Noodles'.
Therefore, in conclusion, I personally thinks that the star of the 'Prawn Noodles' over
here would most likely be the 'soup' that they have prepared. As for the 'Noodles' I
think that it still have a long way to go. :)

So where can you give the noodles a try?
The name of this stall would be 'Noo Cheng Adam Road Big Prawn Noodle'(亞当路大蝦麺).
It's located inside 'Adam Road Food Centre'.

A drink that is Sweet and Spicy... :D

A nice beverage will be needed when you are having a good meal. Not only it could help you to digest your food better, it could quench your thirst too. And it's not a must that the beverages have to be pretty boring, it can ended up to be something interesting too. For example...

'Teh Halia'
This is pretty much similar to the normal 'Teh' or 'Tea with Milk' that one can get
in almost all the 'Coffee Shop' in Singapore. However, a special ingredient have
been added into this beverage to boost the taste of it even much more further. And
the special ingredient would be 'Ginger'.

By adding a few slices of 'Ginger' into the kettle of 'Tea' and boiling them together,
the spicy taste of the 'Ginger' will blend into the 'Tea' nicely. And if you have
topped it with a nice portion of milk, the end product will become sweet and spicy.
Therefore, this not only makes it a good alternative for cold and rainy days, it also
can help you to get rid of throat and nose congestion. Isn't that nice? :D

Let's take a look at the drinks menu of this stall.
(So many options and where should I start?)

So where can you give the nice 'Teh Halia' a good try?
The name of this stall would be 'Taj Mahal Drinks Stall'.
It's located inside 'Adam Road Food Centre'.
