More mouth watering desserts...

After spending some time, doing a bit of reading inside one of the newest library located in town, I suddenly have the urge for some desserts. (In fact, it seems that going around giving different types of desserts a try have become part of my weekend routine for the past few weeks.) Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, that's a dessert stall located near the library, therefore...

'8 Bean Treasures with Chin Chow'(八寳豆仙草) After spending some time looking through all the hot and cold desserts that they are offering over here, I decided to give this cold dessert a try. For a start, this is a pretty interesting combination. They have added a layer of 'Grass Jelly' into the bowl, followed by a layer of shaved ice, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a mixture of various types of ingredients as a topping. Even though the ingredients look kinda dull, but the taste of it are amazingly good. Ingredients like 'Red Beans', 'Green Beans', 'Longan', etc... were part of the mixture and by scooping a bit of everything (the ice cream, the shaved ice, the mixture of ingredients and the 'Grass Jelly'), the overall taste of this dessert is divinely sweet and suitable for a sunny day.

So where can you give this interesting chilling bowl of dessert a try?

The name of this stall would be 'Tong Shui Dessert'(糖水). It's located inside 'People's Park Centre'. So how do I knew about this place? It's actually located next to another dessert stall that I have visited a few weeks ago. Initially, I thought that they are the same stall, but I was completely wrong. It seems that they were just merely 2 completely different dessert stalls located side by side in the same shopping mall.

An Interesting Mix

Initially, due to the hot and humid weather outside, my mind was pretty much set on ordering a 'Cold Dessert'. But after my third or fourth look at the menu, I decided to go for a 'Hot Dessert' instead.

'Yam with Black Glutinous Rice'(芋头露与黑糯米) Probably I haven't been keeping a lookout for desserts that come with lots of 'Yam'. However, my interest for 'Yam' seems to have grown greatly recently. I was looking at the menu and this has captured my immediate attention. Hence, I decided to give this a good try. After giving this dessert a thorough mix, I personally find it to be pretty nice. For a start, every go at this dessert comes with a pretty nice fragrance of 'Yam'. On top of that, the mixture doesn't end up to be too sticky or too watery. In fact the texture is pretty good when it comes to 'Black Glutinous Rice'. Making a good bowl of 'Black Glutinous Rice' can be pretty difficult, especially when you need to ensure that the texture doesn't end up to be too sticky and the 'Glutinous Rice' doesn't end up to be too soft and overcook. What they are serving over here is in fact pretty nice. The 'Glutinous Rice' aren't too hard or too soft and as mentioned earlier, the fragrance of it is pretty good too.
