Not sure if this is genuine...

Signboards can be pretty deceiving nowadays. As I roam around the streets, sometimes I'm getting signboards of delicacy from such and such place. And the actual fact was I don't think such a stall do exist along on that same street before. Not to mention that it needs to be famous enough to be remembered by the regulars.

'Satay' This is pretty easy, I just need to visit the stall once and I could give everything that was listed on their menu a good try.

I have gone for 3 different types of 'Satay', which is mainly 'Chicken', 'Mutton' and 'Pork'. The portion over here are pretty average, but at least they have managed to prepare it such that it has a succulent texture, topped with a nice and good aroma of barbecued meat.

The 'Satay' sauce over here is pretty interesting though. Though it wasn't a rare sight nowadays, but rather than serving you a normal bowl of 'Satay' sauce, they have enhanced it even further by adding mashed pineapples into it. As you dip the 'Satay' sticks or chunks of rice into this sauce, besides adding a sweet taste to it, it has also add a light zesty taste to the stick of 'Satay' too. :P

So where can you give the 'Satay' a good try?

The 2 Wings of a Chicken...

Everyone knows that a Chicken comes with 2 wings and different chefs will come up with their own special unique formula in order to savor it to the max. Hence...

'Half Spring Chicken' set The set comes with 2 complement side dishes. We ended up choosing the 'Potato Wedges' and the 'Chilled Mash Potato Salad. As a side dish, these 2 dishes are pretty interesting. The 'Potato Salad' seems to be a mixture of normal 'Chilled Potato' and 'Coleslaw'. As I pop one of them into my mouth, there's a nice mix of crunchy bits and mashed ingredients inside my mouth. And there's also a nice mix of different tastes, which is mainly made up of the 'Potato' and 'Coleslaw'. As for the 'Potato Wedges', My friend was simply too fast for me. As I was digging into parts of the Chicken, he has managed to wipe out all the wedges within minutes. O.O This is the first time I saw him wiping out all the ingredients at this rate, so I guess the wedges must be pretty good. As for the 'Spring Chicken', though it wasn't a relatively big one, but the taste is pretty good. First of all, they didn't try to fake the size of the 'Chicken' by covering it with a thick layer of flour and tries to deep fried it. The 'Spring Chicken' over here comes with a thin layer of crispy skin and on top of that, as you took a bite off the 'Chicken', you will be pretty amazed with the moist and juicy meat. Even though they didn't coat it with some special seasoning, but this doesn't stops me from finishing the chicken, which is both delicious and not too greasy at all.

'Chicken Wings' These are the real deal. Not only they are relatively big in size, these boring looking 'Chicken Wings' can be pretty deceiving when it comes to the taste. Pretty much similar to the 'Spring Chicken', the 'Chicken Wings' ain't covered in a thick layer of flour, what it has would be a thin layer of crispy skin too. On top of that, the skin isn't too greasy and oily, which is worth another (+). Though I started off using the fork and knife, but it gets kinda annoying when I couldn't wipe out all the meat from the different corners, therefore I decided to move on and use my bare hands to break the joint and wipe out all the delicious bits, which is pretty awesome.

So where can you give the 'Chickens' a good try?

Too much for me...

Since most of the time I'm dining alone, therefore when I feel like eating something or when my stomach is controlling my body and mind, I will still go for it despite of the fact that I'm dining alone. However...

'Special Dinner Combo' Frankly speaking, this ended up to be something too big for me to handle. Even though I managed to finish up most of it within an hour or so, but I ended up spending another 3 or 4 hours waiting for my stomach to digest most of it, before I continue digging into the generous portion of 'Potato Wedges' at home. (In fact, luckily I have requested for a tube of 'Brown Sauce' when I takeaway the rest of it(the 'Potato Wedges'), otherwise I will have problem finishing everything.) =.=""" Even though, I took a crazily long time to finish up everything, but surprisingly, the 'Potato Wedges' didn't ended up to be too soft. In fact, it still remains to be pretty delicious when I dipped them inside the 'Brown Sauce'. On top of that, the 'Wedges' aren't too oily at all(before and after the takeaway. :P) and I think that the taste doesn't lose out to the much more common 'French Fries'. :D

By the way, the set meal not only comes with 'Potato Wedges' only. It also comes with 'Whole Pork Knuckle', 'German Sausages', 'Whipped Potato', 'Achar', 'Sautéd Vegetables' and also 'Brown Sauce'. The 'German Sausage' are a big disappointment. Although the texture are pretty bouncy, but the taste of it is a big disappointment. The taste of it is much more closer to a regular 'Hot Dog' than a 'German Sausage'. :| As for the 'Achar' and 'Whipped Potato' the taste of it are acceptable but definitely not something that's super fantastic. As for the rest of the vegetables, I don't really care about it. Especially when my main motive that particular day were mainly on the meaty stuff itself. The vegetables are mainly there to help me to feel much more better. (Especially, when I feasting on some many sinful stuff. :P By the way, I still manage to finish up the whole plate of vegetables even though I'm ultra full already.)

As for the 'Whole Pork Knuckle', the skin are far more crispier than the ones that I have eaten over the past few years. On top of that, the meat isn't too stiff and too dry. And setting the bones aside, I don't find the process of slicing up the flesh of the 'Knuckle' to be too difficult, which is another big (+). Anyway for slow eaters, you can add/pour some 'Brown Sauce' over the 'Knuckle' as and when the flesh are getting much more harder and difficult to be sliced up. :P (Just take note of the amount that you are pouring on it. Though the 'Brown Sauce' over here are pretty good, but it can get real salty when you pour excessive amount over your food. :D)

Burgers R Not Fast Food! (Closed)

After placing your orders, usually how long does it take for the waitress to prepare and deliver the burger to you? Is it faster than 5 minutes or how about 10 minutes? In fact, I was waiting for my burger orders for more than 20 minutes the other day.

Looks pretty ordinary right? Go ahead, give it a try, try guessing what sort of burger this is. (Or you can just simple continue reading... :D I doubt that anyone can guess it correctly, unless you have eaten it before. :P)

'Choco Lamb Burger Set Meal' Here comes the interesting part. Everyone knows that mutton meat have this strong odour/flavour and in order to made it much more tastier, some chef tends to add a lot of spices or ingredients to suppress the strong mutton taste. Therefore as for this burger, they have come up with the interesting idea of adding 'Nutella' as one of the main ingredients. They are using the sweet, thick, chocolatey 'Nutella' to suppress the strong taste. This is a interesting combination. And initially, I thought that the mutton meat might ended up to be a bit tough but rather than being tough, it ended up to be pretty tender and not too dry too, which is a big (+). By the way, the size of the burger is pretty big too. By the way, depending on the size of the burgers that you have ordered, you get to choose either 1(for the smaller burgers) or 2(for the bigger burgers) side dishes. I ended up choosing the 'French Fries' and the 'Tater Tots'(mini hash brown puffs). The taste of the 'Tater Tots' are pretty okay but the 'Fries' are too salty. It would be great if they can cut down on the amount of salt added into it.

By the way, they are providing 'pickles', 'Tabasco Sauce', 'Chilli Sauce', 'Tomato Sauce', 'Serviette', metal cutlery at the side of the stall. So just go ahead and help yourself to it. :D

Here's the menu of the stall. Luckily I couldn't take beef due to religious reason, otherwise I would really want to give the 'The Warrior Snack' burger a try too. (Just imagine 600g (3 * 200g) of beef stuffed inside a burger which is simply 2 times of 'Sparta', 2 times the 'Madness'... :O)

Beyond the neighbourhood drinks stall...

After a heavy meal in a coffee shop located nearby, I was looking for the drinks stall in the same coffee shop. I realised that this was the only drink stall located in this coffee shop, therefore I decided to give it a try.

'Coconut Milk Tea' I ended up placing an order for this 'Coconut Milk Tea'. The taste and the texture of this drink is pretty much similar to all the 'Taiwanese Bubble Tea' that you can get in most of the shopping malls. What I find it fun would be the long Coconut Jelly Cubes that they have added into the 'Milk Tea'. I personally find it much more chewy than the pearls that was added into a regular 'Bubble Tea'.

'Menu' Here's the menu of the drinks stall located inside the coffee shop. Hmmm... they really have a wide selection of drinks. There's 'Coffee', 'Fruit Juice', 'Milk Tea', 'Smoothie', 'Fruit Tea', 'Yakult Booster(Har??)', etc... Basically, there's a drink for everyone, regardless of your age and your gender(?). According to their Facebook page, it seems that over here, you get to choose the type of 'Sugar' that you would like to add into your 'Coffee' too. There's like 'Crystal Sugar', 'Cube Sugar', 'White Sugar', 'Row Sugar' and 'Brown Sugar'. (If you ask me... I really don't care... :P)
