One of the cheapest...

Chicken Rice in Singapore. (I think.) You can get a decent plate of 'Chicken Rice' at a relatively low price of S$2. Seriously, I would rather go for a plate of 'Chicken Rice' over here than the cheapest 'Burger' that one can get at the biggest Fast Food restaurant in Singapore, since both cost the same.

After spending 20 minutes or more queueing up for the food, I ended
up placing an order for a plate of 'White & Roasted Chicken Rice' and
an extra order for a pair of 'Fried Chicken Wings'. By the way, if you
want to try both the 'White and Roasted Chicken' at the same time, you
will have to go for the bigger set meals.

I think that one of the strongest point about the 'Chicken Rice' over
here would be the fact that you can get it at a relatively low price. On
top of that, even if you have place an order for both types of 'Chicken',
it still remains to be inexpensive. Taste wise, the meat of both types
of 'Chicken' are pretty tender and the fragrance rice is a (+). However,
I still prefer the taste of the 'White Chicken' more than the 'Roasted
Chicken', especially when the 'White Chicken' is boneless and the 'Roasted
Chicken' still comes with a few bones.

'Fried Chicken Wing'
While waiting for my turn to place my orders, I can easily tell how
proud the stall owners are with their prized 'Fried Chicken Wings'. They
have even go to the extent of packaging it as a set meal. Imagine a set
meal that merely comes with a pair of 'Chicken Wing', a plate of rice and
a bowl of soup. =.=""" (I have really seen customers standing in front
of me going for this unique set meal too.)

Anyway, the texture of the 'Chicken Wings' are pretty crispy and the
meat are succulent too. On top of that, even though the 'Chicken Wing'
over here are deep-fried, but it's not too oily too. However, the chilli
sauce that they have provided over here were neither here nor there. The
taste isn't spicy enough and it doesn't blend with both the 'Chicken
Rice' and the 'Chicken Wings' nicely. That would probably be something
that they should try improving. ;).

So where can you give the delicious 'Chicken Rice' and 'Chicken Wing' a try?
The name of this stall would be 'Da Ji Hainanese Chicken Rice'(達記海南雞飯).
It's located inside 'Toa Payoh Lorong 5 Food Centre'.
