Mee Hidden in a Corner

Frankly speaking, I don't really like air-conditioned food courts. For a start the food over there are pricey and the portion of food that they are serving are relatively small. However, if you want me to list down one good point about the food courts, that would most likely be the part that the place is enclosed, therefore it could amplify the smell of the delicious delicacies. And due to the overdose of the nice aroma of ...

'Hokkien Mee',
I ended up going around keeping a lookout for good 'Hokkien Mee'.
The 'Hokkien Mee' over here looks pretty ordinary to me. However, while waiting
for my humble plate of 'Hokkien Mee', I have seen numerous customers placing an
orders for a few plates/packets of 'Hokkien Mee' at one go. Some even went the
extra mile making direct calls to the stall placing big orders. O.O""" I wonder
if the 'Hokkien Mee' over here is really that good...

Just for the base, there's a mixture of 'Noodles' and both thick and thin type
of 'Rice Vermicelli'. And they have topped it with a few pieces of squid, prawns,
pork lard and a bit a bean sprouts. And here comes the interesting part.

In fact, I don't really know how I should go by describing this. The 'Noodles'
have absorbed the soup that they are using over here and rather than ended up
been soggy, the 'Noodles' still manage to have this crunchy and chewy touch, which
makes it amazingly delicious and tasty. I wonder how many 'Hokkien Mee' stalls out
there can fry the 'Noodles' to this standard. The rest of the ingredients are equally
good, except for the prawns which is kinda normal and half raw.

Anyway, one of the biggest drawback about the 'Hokkien Mee' over here would be the
price. It's slightly much more costly than the average 'Hokkien Mee' out there.

The name of this stall would be 'Geylang Lorong 29 Fried Hokkien Mee'(芽笼29巷福建面).
It's located along 'East Coast Road'.
