Initially, I was aiming for the 'Chicken Porridge' that was a few stalls away, but since it's not open, therefore I decided to give this a try instead...

Fish Soup + Rice The bowl seems to be ridiculously big for a bowl of fish soup of that size, but let's take a closer look.

The soup over here isn't as clear as those that you can get in your neighborhood. But the taste of the soup is actually quite good. They have sprinkle a bit of fried garlic into the soup that enhances the overall taste of the soup. On top of that, the generous portion of fish slices is a good start. Not only it's fresh, the sweet taste of each individual slice is a (+) too. Not too bad for a stall in the neighborhood.

So where can you give the fish soup a good try?

2 sizes of Kueh Tutu

But wait, no matter how you look at it, the 'Kueh Tutu' can only be of that size what. How would it be possible to have 2 different sizes of 'Kueh Tutu'. In fact...

'Kueh Tutu' Tada... Here you go, 2 different sizes of 'Kueh Tutu'. Even though the bigger one doesn't have the nice prints on it, but no matter how you take a look at it, it's still a 'Kueh Tutu'. Not only they have the interesting sizes of 'Kueh Tutu', the overall dining experience is pretty good too.

For a start, they really push the fillings to the limits. As you can see, the layer of flour that wraps around the filling is pretty thin. Frankly speaking, not only the proportions of the flour and the fillings are pretty good, I love the sweet taste of the ingredients (Regardless it's the crunchy peanuts or the coconut)too. Time to packet a few home. :)

A different way of serving...

There's a Chinese saying, if you assign the same task to a 100 different people, you will end up getting a 100 different ways of doing the same task. When it comes to cooking, the same theory applies too. Depending on the way the chef is preparing the dish, it might ended up differently. Therefore...

'Chicken Rice'? This looks like the plate of 'Chicken' that comes in the typical 'Chicken Rice' set meal. Yes, I do agreed that the generous portion is a (+), but on top of that, the chewy sensation is worth another (+). Probably I'm too used to the boneless Chicken Rice in my neighborhood, therefore I personally find the bones a nuisance.

Sorry to disappoint you but this is actually a... 'Chicken Porridge Set Meal' Unlike the usual stalls out there that will be serving you a bowl of porridge and topped it with a good portion of shredded chicken. Things are slightly different over here. They have separated out the bowl of porridge and the plate of 'Chicken'. Topped with a bit of spring onions and pepper, the smooth and silky porridge would be a (+). In fact, the portion of Chicken are so generous that I personally find the bowl of porridge to be a bit too small. But either ways this a pretty good way to start your day. :D
