It's a very bad habit to judge a person by his/her looks. The same goes with all the delicacies out there. We shouldn't be determine the tastiness of a dish, just by taking a look at it... Especially, when we come across situations like the following...
'Satay Bee Hoon'
Probably because of the looks, therefore it's not an easy task in
finding 'Satay Bee Hoon' Singapore. And finding is one thing but
how easy will it be in finding a stall that serves good 'Satay Bee Hoon'?
I guess that I'm pretty fortunate. It seems that most of the
'Satay Bee Hoon' stalls that can be found in my neighbourhood
are pretty delicious and this would be one of them. :D
Besides for the deliciously sweet peanut gravy, the ingredients are
something that one would look forward to, especially when I'm not a
big fan of 'Bee Hoon'. Ingredients like Cuttlefish, Pig Liver, Cockles,
slices of pork meat, 'Kang Kong', also known as 'water spinach',
Bean Sprouts were included in each and every plate of 'Satay Bee Hoon'.
Despite of the look of this dish, somehow the taste of this dish still
ended up to be pretty delicious.
This dish is pretty much similar to Durian. Not everyone might love it.
But I think that one should really give this a try especially when it's
not something that one could find and get it everywhere.
So where can you try this dish?
The name of the stall would be 'Bak Kee Satay Bee Hoon'(峇記潮州沙爹米粉).
This stall is located inside 'Redhill Market'.
