I haven't been to shanghai before so here's my question does Shanghai Dim Sum really look like this?
They don't have a lot of items on the menu but after giving it some thought, I decided to go with these 2 items. 'Steam Dumplings' (left) Most of the time, Dumplings that you are getting outside are filled with a much larger potion of meat than vegetables, but as for this place, it's the other way round. The taste of the vegetables are overwhelming that I didn't even bother dipping it into a plate of vinegar at all. 'Beijing Hor Fun' (right) As for the 'Hor Fun', it's pretty nice. By taking a look at the soup, it looks pretty much similar to a shark fin soup. Except for the part that in this case, the chef are too generous with the amount of eggs that was used in making the soup. The taste of the soup is so good that I ended up finishing everything. As for the 'Hor Fun', it's neither over cook nor too raw, which gives it a almost perfect taste. It will taste even much better when you have it with the soup. :D By the way, ingredients that are included in this plate of 'Hor Fun' are items like Prawns, Squid, Cabbage, few slices of meat, etc... (I think that even if none of the ingredients were given, just the soup and the 'Hor Fun' alone are pretty satisfying.) |
So where can you try these?
