The hidden Dim Sum...

Have you given all the stalls in the neighbourhood coffee shop a good try? Sometimes, the food that one can be getting from a neighbourhood coffee shop can really amaze me. And here's a pretty good example today...

'Carrot Cake'(萝卜糕)
Most of the 'Carrot Cake' in Singapore are mostly pan fried. As for the 'Carrot Cake' over
here, it's the steam 'Carrot Cake'. Even though it doesn't come with a thin crispy layer
but the 'steam' type isn't that bad too. It's moist and not too sticky and not too dry. On
top of that, every bite comes with a nice fragrance of sesame and a strong radish taste
and a nice taste of sausages. :)

After savouring the 'Carrot Cake', the waiter has finally covered my table with the
'Dim Sum' that I have ordered.

'Deep Fried Prawn Dumplings'(炸虾饺)
The most interesting part about this 'Dim Sum' would be the crispy texture on the outside.
The taste of the fillings are pretty average and normal. :)

'Har Kow'(虾饺)
The skin of the 'Har Kow' are far too thick and the prawns aren't sufficient. It might
have tasted much more better if they have prepared a thinner skin and thrown in bigger
and juicier prawns.

'Liu Sar Pau'(黄金流沙包)
For a start, the texture of this 'Pau' amazes me. It's both fluffy and warm. The biggest
drawback about this 'Dim Sum' would be the size of it. However...

the fillings of the 'Pau' is delicious. The fillings are lava hot and there's a nice
balance of both salty and sweet taste. Just be careful of the lava hot fillings. It's
slightly a bit too watery and it can flow out of the 'Pau' easily, far too easy. Trust
me, you wouldn't want to waste the delicious fillings at all. Anyway try not to pop one
of these into your mouth directly, it can really burn your tongue. :P

So where can you give these delicious 'Dim Sum' a try?
'Yi Dian Xin Hong Kong Dim Sum'(一点心)
The name of this stall would be ''Yi Dian Xin Hong Kong Dim Sum'(一点心).
It's located in one of the coffee shop along 'Upper Serangoon Road'.
