Although I might sound like a weirdo, but I love to pour lots of soup into a bowl of rice and mix the both of them together. Therefore, that's probably one of the reasons why I loved dishes like 'Mui Fan' or soupy dishes that much. Therefore...

This would be my dinner that day.
A bowl of rice and a Coconut? |
|
'Steamed Pork Rice with Mushrooms'
A bowl of steam rice covered with a generous layer of minced pork cake,
sliced mushrooms and 'ikan bilis'. Though the overall taste of the bowl
of rice is slightly a bit meaty and salty, but there's a nice balance
between the use of vegetables and meat. On top of that, there's lots of
fat slices of delicious mushrooms. But portion wise it's kinda
disappointing... |

'Double Boiled Chicken in Fresh Old Coconut'
One of the signatures over here. Using a Coconut Husk to boil and prepare
the Herbal soup, which includes herbal ingredients and slices of 'Chicken',
the soup itself comes with a nice herbal taste topped with the sweetness
of a coconut. However, if you are looking for a thick and strong herbal soup,
you will be pretty disappointed. Because what they are offering over here
are not as strong as the average 'Herbal Soup' out there. Though the Coconut
has enhance the taste and the aroma of the soup even further, but it might be
the main reason why the soup are far more lighter in taste as compared to the
other alternatives out there. |
So where can you give the soup a good try?
