I have been staying in the 'Tiong Bahru area' for ages and I don't remember seeing a stall branded with 'Tiong Bahru Bak Chor Mee' until the recent years.

'肉脞面'(Bar Chor Mee a.k.a Minced Meat Noodles)
Since it dares to brand itself with the word 'Tiong Bahru', I die die must
give it a good try. Okay the bowl of noodles are covered by a good mix of
ingredients. There's braised mushrooms, lettuce, minced meat, meat ball and
also pork liver. Though it might appear to be a bit soupy because of the
amount of chilli sauce added, but it's a completely different situation
after spending a bit of time stirring and mixing it... |
|
After all the stirring, it's time to dig into the bowl of Noodles. The noodles
didn't end up to be soggy at all. In fact, it still has the chewy sensation and
on top of that, the tasty ingredients and the chilli sauce blend in pretty well
too. Besides for the bowl of Noodles, I think it's a must for me to describe
how good the handmade meat balls that they were selling over were. The
meat balls are so good that reminds me of...
Stephen Chow's movie '食神'(The God of Cookery) from back then. That's right the
meat balls are so juicy and delicious (though I'm not sure if they can bounce as
much as those in the movie) that they are on par with the 'Fu Zhou Fish Ball'.
Therefore the 'meat balls' are something that one must try when he/she is giving
the food from this stall a try. |
So where can you give the food a good try?
