Since I haven't been eating Macaron for a very very long period of time, therefore I was keeping an lookout for places where I can give it a good try. (In fact this makes me wonder, have I eaten it before...?)

'Japanese Houjicha Tea Set'
Since this was a reputed 'Tea' place, therefore my expectations for this place tends
to be much more higher. They are selling more than 100 types of tea from all over the
globe over here and since I wasn't a very big fan of English Tea, I ended up selecting
one of my favourite type of Japanese tea. And that would be the infamous roasted
Japanese Tea, 'Houjicha'.
However, the taste of the Japanese Tea is rather disappointing. The taste of the tea
is too bland and I'm not getting the nice fragrance of the roasted tea too. This might
be caused by either the amount of tea leaves that was added into the tea pot or the
temperature of the hot water that they are pouring into the tea pot. Either ways, I
think that my daily brew of the 'Houjicha' tastes much more better than theirs. Well,
there might be another possibility that they specialises in the Western Tea and not
the Asians type. Either ways, I don't think that I will give the Asian Tea over here
a try again. |

'Macarons'
Currently, they are offering 10 different types of Macarons on their daily menu.
There's Blackcurrant, Rose, Camelot, Chocolate, Passion Fruit, Lemon, Vanilla,
Napoleon, Mint and Matcha flavours. Basically all the individual flavours comes
with a unique filling that is a mixture of tea and several types of ingredients.
Although I'm not a big fan of Macarons, but when I tried to use a fork to pierce
one of the Macarons, it split into half immediately. And as I put one of them into
my mouth, I realised that the top and the base of the Macaron was actually pretty
crunchy and at the same time not too hard, which is pretty nice for a start. Well,
although these are expensive bite-size friendly pastry, but the Macarons that they
are offering over here are very delicious and very suitable for High-Tea. |
So where can you give all these delicious 'Macarons' a try?

The name of the place would be 'TWG Tea Company'.
They currently have a few branches island wide. Though it's stated island-wide but it seems
that most of the branches are either located in the south or central part of Singapore. |
Notes:- Operating Hours:
Although the daily opening hours of the 'ION Orchard' branch starts from 10am - 10pm, but it seems that the opening hours of the individual branch varies. Therefore, it will be much more wiser for you to check the opening hours of the nearest branch located near you from 'The TWG Company' website.
