I knew about the existence of the local 'Power Chendol' some time back and recently, while I was giving random stalls at a hawker centre a try, I discovered something that was on par with the infamous 'Power Chendol' and that would be ...
'Gula Melaka Ice Kacang'
Though the amount of 'Gula Melaka', also known as 'Palm Sugar', that
was added isn't a lot, but the sweetness level is pretty high. Since
the bowl that was given was pretty small, therefore you need to spend
some time finishing the mountain of ice before digging into the
ingredients like red beans, jelly, 'Attap Chee', also known as
'Palm Seed'. After finishing a bowl of 'Gula Melaka Ice Kacang',
I guess that this would be one of those stuff that I would be
restricting myself to a serving per month.
So where can you give this sinful delicacy a try?
The name of this stall would be 'Xue Hua Fei Chang Ji'(雪花飞昌记)
Hot and Cold Dessert. It's located on the second floor of
'Chinatown Complex Food Centre'.
