Decent and acceptable duck... :)

I love the Hawker Centres in Singapore. That's one of the best places where 1 can find good food at an unreasonably low price. Therefore the journey roaming around the Hawker Centres continues...

'Duck Rice Set Meal'
The set meal comes with additional ingredients like 'Braised Egg' and
'Dried Beancurd'. Rather than digging into the plate of rice, I ended
up giving the bowl of soup a try first. Unexpectedly, the bowl of soup
ended up to be pretty tasty. Not only it has a tasty herbal taste, it's
pretty sweet too, which is a (+). On top of that, the 'Chilli' Paste that
they are offering are pretty solid too. Not too bad for a start. :)

As for the plate of rice, it's kinda disappointing. Not that it's bad,
it just so so happen that the soup is far more interesting as compared
to the plate of rice. For a start, the taste of the 'Braised Duck',
isn't thick enough. I personally think that the taste of the braised
haven't blend into the duck meat completely. Probably it they have spend
a bit more time working on it, it might have turned out to be much more
delicious. :|

So where can you give the plate of 'rice' a try?
The name of this stall would be 'Cheng Ji Lu Ya Fan. Mian. Zhou'(成記滷鴨飯。面。粥).
It's hidden inside 'Clementi Market and Food Centre'.

Hidden away but affordable....

Some stalls that are hidden away in a hawker centre isn't that bad too. For example, there's mains like these...

'Lor Mee'
This is pretty affordable and though it might look pretty ordinary, but it wasn't
that bad. This comes with a good spread of ingredients like 'Fish Cake', 'Ngoh Hiong',
'braised meat' and 'fried flour bits'. On top of that, the gravy isn't that bad too.
Not only it isn't watery, it has a thick and gluey texture, which comes with a pretty
tasty texture too. Though it also has the option of having 2 different types of chilli
but both of them isn't that spicy, which isn't going to be of much interest to fiery
food lovers.

So where can you give the dish a good try?
The name of this stall would be 'Soon Heng Lor Mee'.
This is located inside 'Beo Crescent Market and Food Centre'.
