An unexpected journey ...?

I have decided to travel to Clementi for lunch last week. After a satisfying meal at 'Clementi Market and Food Centre', I wanted to try one of the 'Soya Beancurd' shops nearby and that's when I came across this new bakery...

I ended up buying 4 different types of buns that day. Initially, I was thinking of
bringing them back to the office and have it for 'High Tea'. However, while waiting
for the free shuttle bus at the bus stop, my stomach started growling again and I
decided to pull out one of the bun and eat it. And this just so happen to be the...

'Custard Bun'
For a start, the buns that they are selling over here are pretty fluffy. On top of
that, initially I thought that they probably might be cutting down on the amount of
fillings that they have added to the buns, but they have proven me wrong. They are
pretty generous with all the not so sweet custard fillings. In fact, if you are not
careful enough, the custard might flow out of the bun easily. Best of all, since all
these buns were freshly baked and most of the tray were emptied within minutes,
therefore the fragrance and the taste of a newly baked bun was fantastically great. :D

'Ham & Cheese Bun'
This is pretty much similar to the 'Ham & Cheese Bun' out there. However, one good
thing about this bun would be the fact that the 'Ham' isn't overcook and it's not
melting into the bun thoroughly.

'Butter Bloom'
My experience with this is pretty much the same as the 'Custard Bun'. The rich and
tasty butter is unbeatable. However, either I am too slow or the fillings were meant
to be like this, the butter have blend into the bread completely, which doesn't really
matters that much, since it still remain to be pretty delicious.

'Golden Sands Bun'(黃金流沙包)
Back then, this seems to be a rare delicacy in Singapore. The salty egg yolk + custard
fillings are pretty good. The mixture of both sweet and salty ingredients make this bun
a must try for everyone. The taste of the bun gets even much more better when it remains
to be hot and milky. Just be careful with this bun and don't let the 'gold' flow out of
the bun and get wasted. (Now, it seems that I have found a new place to get my
'Golden Sands Bun' fix. :P)

Anyway, my friend was taking and uploading photos of this shop, the day before I went to
Clementi for lunch. Luckily she have uploaded photos of this place, otherwise I might
have miss something that is affordable and deliciously good. :D

The name of the bakery would be 'Baker Talent'(パン達人).
It seems that they have outlets island-wide and the above shows the
outlet located behind 'Clementi Mall', beneath Blk 442, Clementi Avenue 3.

Notes:
  • Opening Hours:
    09:00 - 22:00 Daily
  • Despite eating 4 different buns with 10 - 15 minutes, I don't find the buns too heaty and probably I should just buy a few more for 'High Tea' the next time round. :P
  • By the way, if you are thinking of getting the buns for lunch, you better join the queue as early as possible. Probably it's due to the relatively low price that they are selling the individual buns (all of them are lower than a dollar each) and the taste of it, the queue during lunch hours can be crazily long. The waiting time gets longer and longer when there are customers that buy a big bag of buns at one go. =.="""
