The killer small bites...

Though most of the time, if someone has setup a stall in a Hawker Centre, there's a very high possibility that the stall is going to sell something that is pretty filling. However, there will be exceptions too. For example, there will be stalls selling small bites like these...

'Soon Kueh'

Though the skin is pretty thick, but the crunchy sensation that I'm getting
from the ingredients that goes inside it is a (+). The turnip, carrots and
mushrooms have also come together to produce this nice fragrance that I like.
And do remember to have it with their chilli paste to enhance the overall taste
even far more further. :)

'Curry Puff'
This might appear to be pretty ordinary, but it's not. For a start, the skin
might appear to be pretty solid and tough, but in actual fact, it's not as
thick as I have imagined. Once I took a bite off the 'Curry Puff', there's this
nice fragrance of spices, topped with the crunchy sensation of the potatoes,
and the chewy sensation of the chicken strips and part of a hard boiled egg.
And on top of that, the strong taste is a (+) too. And I'm not referring to
the spicy taste but the strong taste spices. :D

So where can you give these small bites a good try?
The name of this stall would be "Fond's Dee Curry Puff".
It's hidden inside 'Clementi Market and Food Centre'.

When the Wanton isn't their ....

Over here, frankly speaking, I have given quite a few 'Wanton Noodles' stall a good try already. However, probably it's my personal preference but I think that most of the stalls out there have the same problem....

'Wanton Noodles'
The springy Noodles are pretty acceptable, it's not as soggy as it appears
to be. Though the taste of the dark sauce is slightly a bit salty, but
there's also a nice mix of greens and meaty ingredients. The 'Char Siew'
for a start is chewy, and at the same time not too dry. And the crispy
'Wanton' isn't that bad. It has a crispy texture and a reasonable load of
ingredients wrapped inside the crispy skin. But that isn't the best...

Though the taste of the bowl of soup is pretty normal, but it's the
dumplings that I have ordered separately that brighten things up. For
a start, the dumplings are wrapped inside this thin layer of dumpling
skin. And as I took a bite off the dumplings, the crunchy sensation
simple makes things pretty exciting. And the nice mixture of vegetables
and meaty ingredients simply makes things better and better.

So where can you give the food over here a good try?
The name of this stall would be 'Boon Kee Wanton Noodle'(文記雲吞麺).

Japanese Noodles

Japanese Noodles not only includes 'Ramen', 'Soba' and 'Udon', now it includes this too.

'Mee Pok' and 'Dumpling Soup'

'Mee Pok'
They have added ingredients like 'beansprouts', 'prawns',
'meatball', slices of 'abalone' and 'mixed meat' into the
bowl of Noodles. Hidden beneath the generous portion of
ingredients, is the 'Mee Pok' Noodles. Not only it's chewy,
once you have mixed it thoroughly, the Noodles will have
this spicy and delicious taste, which is pretty good. :)

'Dumpling Soup'
This is slightly a bit salty, but the taste of the soup is
pretty thick and the ingredients inside are pretty interesting.
Besides for the Dumplings, ingredients like vegetables and mixed
meat have been added into the bowl of soup too. Best of all, the
crunchy dumplings that are loaded with lots of vegetables and
minced meat are worth a big (+) too.

The name of this restaurant would be 'Ah Hoe Mee Pok'.
The previous owner has taught the current owner, Mr Kuribara,
everything about the trade. And he will be looking after the
stall for the time being, while the previous owner looks for a
new location to setup a new outlet.
It's located in a 'Coffeeshop' beneath 'Block 710, Clementi West Street 2'.
